Hello, my name is Renee and I am in charge of the tours at Northern State Hospital. I have found such a love for this facility that I have started a Non-Profit organization, Northern State Hospital Restoration, where all of the money for the tour goes into a fund for the state to use for restoration efforts needed to keep this facility running and around for a long time. I am glad to see such an interest of people who would like to help in this cause to try to save these buildings and with your help it will be possible. This is a photographic tour that includes viewing the inside of the Denny, Nurses Quarters and the Chapel/ Hub and an employee who is the historian will tell some of the history as well as many other stories that go along with NSH. Oh and dont forget to bring your camera. This is a small step but in the right direction. I look forward to meeting all who attend.
I must stress that this is not a paranormal tour, they are not allowing anymore paranormal investigations to take place on campus so if you do sign up the rules do state that you cannot use any audio or audio/video recorders. They have students and patients on campus and their privacy is of the upmost importance and is inforced by the State.
